What should I do if a stray cat has adopted me, but I can't keep it?

Try and find someone you trust to take the cat. Have that person visit a lot, feed the cat, play with it, etc. Then try taking the cat to that person's house overnight, see how that goes. Visit the cat often at first, and gradually less and less.

The best thing you could do, unfortunately, is take the cat to your local pound (or humane center if possible!). To get him to just stop coming around, don't leave any food out and spray him with a water spray bottle when he comes around.

I would start by trying to find a home for it. Usually cats go to people that they feel will take care of them. If you can't find it a home see if there is a no kill shelter you can take it to.

You have several options in which to deal with the cat. Here are some options you can do to your cat: 1. You can give your cat to the local animal shelter. 2. You can give your cat to a family member. 3. In some countries you can eat it.
