What should I do about my boyfriend who wants me to hang out with his sister?

That is definitely an awkward situation and either way you lose. If you tell him she's not someone you would normally hang out with, he will probably be offended because it is his sister. If you hang out with her, you will feel like your being forced into a friendship. How much do you like your boyfriend?

How serious are you about this boyfriend? If he is very important to you, you should see the sister in a casual way and see if you could be friends. Always remember that she may not particularly want to hang out with you and so this may not go anywhere.

I would attempt to hang out with her to see if you guys can get along. He probably just wants you guys to like each other.

Perhaps your boyfriend wants you to be friends with his sister in the hopes that you'll tell her about your feelings toward him, and she'll tell him. Try being friendly and polite to her, but don't hang out with her just to impress him.
