Blisters should not spread and are the result of skin damage. If you have multiple blisters of unknown cause then a doctor should be seen

Stopping the spread depends highly on the cause - if caused by friction or moisture wear dry, clean clothing (especially the foot area, shoes should fit well) ; if chemical, take precautions to protect the skin; If sunburn, wear sunscreen. Try not to open blisters, keep them clean and protected.

It may depend on where the blisters are, but my advise would be to contact a doctor to have it diagnosed. You may have a form of herpes simplex 1 or 2. This is viral and can spread to other people as well with no cure.

You need to determine what is causing the blisters to properly treat the blisters and keep them from spreading. Your dermatologist can prescribe a medicated lotion to help clear up the blisters. Until then keep from touching open blisters as that may be causing them to spread.
