What should I do about a skunk in the garage?

You should call professional animal control to handle any situation with a wild animal. You don't know if it has rabies or some other form of disease. That and I don't think you want to stink for the next few months from skunk spray.

Call your local wildlife or department of natural resources agency for assistance with this problem. They may suggest trying to set a live trap in the garage area to capture the skunk, they may then tranquilize the animal to make it easier to remove it without being sprayed. If it's not an issue, you could try and shoot it yourself.
