If you've never owned a business, then the business side e.g. tax, accounting etc could be an issue. You'll need employees since you can't do everything yourself, as chef, waiter, manager etc. There are also other things to consider: advertising, set up costs, any competing restaurants nearby, and whether you have the finance to get established.

The restaurant's location and the costs of its inputs (labor expenses to raw food products) as compared to the revenue to be derived from it are the most important factors.

The most important factor to consider when starting a restaurant is to select the appropriate location. In order to be successful, the restaurant must attract foot traffic and be easily visible from the street.
