What should be the correct transmission fluid level on the dipstick?

The dipstick comes with marks on it to highlight what the transmission fluid level is at the time. The correct level of transmission fluid is the the mark closest to the top of the dipstick or full mark.

When you take out the dipstick, wipe it off with a towel. After, dip it back in and take it out to see if the hole is covered. If it is your level is good, if not, fill it up some.

On a dipstick, the correct transmission fluid level should fall between the full and the add marks. If the fluid level is low, the transmission may slip. There should be levels marked on the dipstick itself. If not just make sure that the fluid level lands in the crosshatched area when warm or in between the notches.

most dipsticks have the correct line on them for fluid levels. check owners manual for the number of quarts that is needed.

The correct transmission should be around fifty or sixty depending of how much you use your vehicle in one day. If you use it more the level could be a little lower.
