David Letterman was raised as a Presbyterian, his mother was even a secretary at a Presbyterian Church. There is nothing to date to indicate that he still is a Presbyterian or affiliated with any other religious organization. He has however expressed a strong respect of religious institutions and the people that exercise these beliefs.

Comedian David Letterman is a christian. Although he probably is not a very devout and religious person considering the scandal he was involved in concerning him sleeping with women who worked on his show.
