One gentle remedy is cucumber juice - apply it over redness and leave for fifteen minutes before gently washing it off. Carefully applying ice for a few minutes will also work - but don't press to hard and burst the pimple. For extreme cases, antibiotics will work; consult a doctor.

There are some pimple gels available at your drugstore that will ease redness. You can also use concealer. I like to get a green concealer. It sounds weird, but it really helps acne redness. Just make sure that you blend it really well. Make sure you do not pick at the pimples, it will only make it worse.

Redness associated with acne is caused by swelling and inflammation from increased blood flow to the area. Of course you can cover up the redness with makeup, but that could irritate the area. Applying ice to the affected area can temporarily reduce redness. The only permanent way to get rid of it is to get rid of the acne.

There are several ways to reduce acne redness. One way is to get a very small concealer stick, which you can use only on the red acne areas. The only problem with the concealer stick is that it may make the acne worse overall. Visine also helps to remove the red of individual acne spots.

Aloe (juice not gel) reduces redness from acne. Shea butter, rich in Vitamin A and & E, sooths and heals skin, even more so when used in combination with African Black Soap. Masks made from crushed baby aspirin also help to reduce inflammation associated with acne.

Acne redness is caused due to irritation of the pores. This may be healed by applying the paste of turmeric and snadle wood on the affected area twice a week.
