I tried this experiment once. What I found was that it DID reduce the redness of the pimple, but it also reduced the color in the skin around pimple as well. So instead of a red pimple I had a big pale spot that looked worse. I don't recommend it!

Some prescribed ophthmalic solutions contain steroid component and if applied directly to the pimple may cause temporary reduction of the redness surrounding the area. This can be considered as a beneficial extra effect of the drops, but should not be attempted without direction of a physician

Yes the do. The main ingredient in eye drops treats redness. Thet makes it work great for reducing the redness in pimples. You should make sure you dab a drop on the area at least an hour before you plan on going out.

To a certain extent. A better remedy for the redness is peroxide followed by putting on hydra-cortisone cream or antibacterial cream.
