What power tools should every homeowner own?

Power tools, man cannot live with them, but cannot live without them either. The basic power tools you should have in your arsenal is a drill which should be transformed into a screwdriver with just a bit change, a saw, a skill saw and a table saw also good to have on hand is a power hammer.

Several tools are very helpful when owning a home. It is useful to own an electric drill, electric scredriver, and a skill saw. If budget allows it is also great to have a table saw, a band saw, and an electric staple gun. A jigsaw is also useful if you have to cut holes in the flooring, etc.

You can never go wrong with a multi-bit power drill with screwdriver bits, and a Jig saw is another must have tool. One other great tool is a Dremel set with multiple attachments.

The number one power tool for a homeowner is a power drill. If you plan on heavier construction, a chop saw and a router are great to have.

I dont think the home owner should need any that they don't know how to use in a safe manor. With that said, I would think the basic two would be a drill and power crew driver.
