Look and the Microsoft PowerToys, directly and Microsoft pages. There is also software called "Windows PowerTools", look at this as well. And then, look at all the registry cleaning and fixing tools, the got you the power as well.

The question is too unspecific. There is a series of tools from Microsoft called PowerToys and also the Sysinternals Suite. To describe those tools would result in endless amounts of text, so go to their website and read up on the tools that seem to be fitting your needs.

Xp has a wide range of power tools. There is on that allows you to turn your normal pc calculator into a scientific calculator, another that allows you to use any Windows Media file as a screen saver, one for resizing images with a simple right click. It is completely impossible to list them all, the list goes on.
