The Sunflowers that Vincent Van Gogh painted were during his 'Sunflower Series.' He began to paint his Sunflower series in 1888 and they were painted prior to his stay in Paris. They are beautiful paintings of sunflowers in various forms. Some were painted to decorate Gaugin's room when the two lived together.
