Laser treatment is the most effective way of removing freckles. Using a bleaching agent on the freckles is also effective way of removing it. Another popular solution is Liquid Nitrogen Freeze (be very careful when having this done as it can cause permanent damage to the skin).

Bleaching cream, liquid nitrogen freeze, retin-A and laser removal. None of these are permanent unless you stay out of the sun.
