You can purchase casting kits, these are plaster of paris and also clay. It is best to apply vaseline or baby oil to the skin so the clay does not stick to them.

You actually can do it with Fimo Polymer modeling clay. Cut a ring out of an old plastic container to shape the dough and then get the print and dry.
