You probably don't need one. It will eventually work its way back to the person who is owed the money and they will call you to make restitution. If you don't then they can take you to court. If that is the case make sure you go when you are served and take the money or make arrangements at court.

If the collection agency to where you wrote the bad check has contacted you, you should pay it back through them, therefore, you dont have to obtain a lawyer.
