What kitchen colors go with dark oak cabinets?

Light beige, cream, off white, and deep green all go with dark oak. Burnished steel and stainless steel appliances will also go with dark oak cabinets. Avoid pastels and neon colors.

I would use colors like forest green, orange, medium blue, and cherry red. Hardwood flooring would be ideal, and appliances should be bright stainless steel, not black. Dark oak has an old fashioned, regal feel and the color scheme elsewhere must support that. I would not use black or white.

The nice thing about oak is that it goes well with any color. You just have to pick the right hue and shade. Dark oak lends itself well to warm hues, but don't rule out blues as well.

In kitchen with dark cabinets, it will be better to use light colours. Using light colours like white and baby colours will give the impression of a large room.
