You will find three main species. There are yellow jackets (technically wasps). Hornets and honey bees. Honey bees are harmless, yellow jackets are aggressive.
I guess the same kind that is found all around the world it gets cold up there so its unlikey there will even be serveal different kinds of them up there in massachusetts.
