Well it depends on when your wife was a child. For me (born in 80's) nostalgic toys would be rubix cube, battleships etc. Google her decade and find out.
"Nostalgic toys" would be toys that remind your wife of her childhood. Toys that she used to play with as a child would provide nostalgia for her. Did she like to play hopscotch? Was there a certain doll that she played with? Ask her about what she used to like as a child.
That would be toys that aren't really in production or vintage. Look for cabbage patch kids, the toy army soldiers and other toys that have a very old style. Simple yet fun.
