You would need a 20 amp outlet, not a 15 amp which is commonly used around the house for lights and other small appliances. The circuit for the microwave should be a dedicated circuit, for the microwave only.

A microwave does not need any special sort of outlet or adapter. the power supply cord should be the same as almost all other appliances you may own except for your oven and your refrigerator. Just make sure your electrical outlet is in good working order, or you may blow a fuse.
