What kind of floor would you put in for a metal shed?

I would use it for lawn mowers, garden stuff, storage, etc.

I would recommend a concrete floor for an outdoor metal shed. You want a solid floor so you can store items in the shed, and nothing too fancy in case your lawn mower leaks fluids, or your garden fertilizer spills. Make sure to put a few ventilation and/or draining holes in the concrete when you pour it.

Personally, I would use a concrete floor. It is tough and durable, and will keep any possible leaks from going into the ground. You also have the option of laying water pipes if you think you might need a hand sink for when you need to work on your equipment.

A hard cement floor. It will be relatively more durable, will be easy to clean (such as oil spills), and is inexpensive. Maintenance will be minimal. Chips, cracks, and the like can be easily repaired as do it yourself projects. Other flooring options will be much more expensive and far less durable.

Your floor type will be dependent on the use of the shed. If it's simply a storage shed, with material that's not weather sensitive, use 3/4" med. grade plywood. If you need better protection for your goods or have a high traffic type use, go with a concrete floor.
