Hamster bedding is available at pet stores. It is made out of wood shavings and such. You want to confirm that the material is light and soft. It should be comfortable for your pet as well as easy to burrow in.

The best bedding for hamsters in the cedar shavings in my opinion. They seem to be most absorbent and keeps the odor down.
