Washing and drying the bedding might get rid of the fleas in the bedding; however, the fleas reside on the pet, so you must treat your pet as well. First you can give your pet a Capstar tablet and follow-up with monthly applications of a topical treatment such as Frontline.

Yes, wash on the hottest setting. For best results freeze the bedding for a week first, this will further injure the flees.

Yes, the laundering of your pet's bedding will definitely kill any fleas in the bedding, but washing bedding alone, is not enough to rid your house or pet area of a flea infestation.
