What kind of a diet do lizards have in the wild?

Since there are thousands of species of lizards there are potentially thousands of "diets" that lizards could possibly have. Most lizards are either herbivores (ie iguanas), insectivores (ie green anoles) or carinvores (ie nile monitors). Diet also changes with life stage; iguanas are partially insectivorious as neonates.
