use gloves, pick up cut foliage, start at bottom work your way up. You are working to do a triangle shaped tree. bushes - just round them out to keep the shape you want.

When pruning holly trees, you want the tree to branch out. In order to get the tree to do this you have to clip the old branch shoots so that there is room for new branch shoots to come forth. Then train your holly tree to branch out from the new shoots.
