What is your opinion of Vivitar cameras?

Vivitar is generally a cheap brand that doesn't make top notch products. Spend a few extra bucks on a camera that you'll actually use, rather than a cheap frustrating one.

My last Vivitar was 15 years ago so they may have changed but they have been on the lower end of the quality spectrum for quite some time. You would be better off going with a higher quality brand if you want a camera that is going to last for awhile.
