What is wrong with my Rottweiler? His symptoms are heavy panting and a rapid heart beat.

Rottweilers can have heart conditions that would put stress on their bodies and result in panting heavily and/or rapid heart beat. Also, poisoning could show the same symptoms. Dogs can be accidentally poisoned by getting into some substances commonly found around the house. Since rottweilers are a lot of dog to care for, I would check immediately with a vet.

He could have possibly just gotten too warm. Instead of asking questions on the internet I suggest you call a Vet and schedule an appointment right away. There could be a number of things that is wrong with your dog that could cause it to die.

He could be overheated. Bring him into the air conditioning, keep him calm and offer him water. It could also be something more serious, so if he does not get better, take him to the vet.

If your rottweiler has pleanty of water and is not in direct heat, you may want to take him to the vet. This could be a sign of heart trouble.
