What is wrong if my big screen has sound but no picture?

This is possibly due to the damage of the picture tube or the Video IC embedded in the PCI board might be worn out.

Your picture board is probably out. Mine went out on mine too and I had to have it replaced. It will probably cost you quite a bit of money.

if your big screen has sound and no picture it might be a picture tube or you need a new tv some get burnt out no matter what you do

Try a different cable, and then both cables on a different input on the tv. Also try a different source such as a dvd player or vcr.

Did you put the AV cables in their right locations? Did you make sure to plug it into a device that provides you with channels? Is that device on?

The TV is probably not connected to the cable correctly. Check to make sure the video cable is securely in the TV.
