She may be sleeping too long at night. It could also be that she's just not ready. If you think there is a problem ask her Pediatrician if he thinks something is wrong with her. When it's time for a nap put her in her crib. Don't let her nap places that she plays.

10 months old babies should nap, but you can't make them, so if they don't, increase their nightly sleeps (to about 13-14 hours).

Make sure that she is not in any sort of pain, ear infection or teething that could result in her being restless. You could also try taking her on long walks in the stroller or car rides.

She may be sleeping so late in the morning that it mitigates her need for a nap in the middle of the day. She may be awake in the middle of the night for so long that her body acts as if sleeping the second half of the night counts as a nap.

It is usual for a baby of less than one year to have a nap during the day. But if the baby is not going for it, you need not worry. However, massage his head daily with mustard oil before going to bed in the night. A solution may come.

Sometimes babies go through phases or growth spurts that prevent them from getting sleepy to take a nap. Also, look at the hours she is sleeping at night.
