Anything out of the ordinary should definetly be checked out. Brown spots on your genitals could be a sign of either a sexually transmitted disease, or some type of infection.

Spotting isn't always something that is the cause of alarm. However, if you are spotting I suggest you go to a doctor right away to make sure that there is not anything wrong with your baby. Go to the ER if you're feeling cramping and pain in your lower abdomen because this can signify miscarriage.

Chances are there is nothing wrong. Many women experience spotting or light bleeding during pregnancy. If the bleeding is very heavy with large clots with to much pain, then I would worry, then it's time to go to the Hospital. If this is not the case then everything is fine.

Spotting in early pregnancy is very common and could be caused by implantation spotting, trauma to the uterus or even sexual intercourse. You should always consult with your OBGYN if there is any spotting so that he can rule out possible complications. Try and get some rest and not be as active.
