As computers do, nowadays even mobile phones are bulit with WLAN or Wi-Fi capabilities. we can surf, download, chat, recieve and send email, watch videos and more with a cell phone itself. All you just need is an internet connection with a Wi-Fi router with simple steps.

WLAN is the same for any device, It is short for wireless local area network. It is the capability of a phone to connect to wireless network devices similar to a computer. Meaning it can access the internet through you router wirelessly.

You can use the phone to access internet without adding costs to your subscription. Normal calls, SMS etc are still charged even if you are connected to a wireless network.
