EE series saving bonds are a safe and secure bond that offers a very low rate of return. EE series savings bonds offer a fixed rate of return at 1.10%. Unfortunately, this is less than a quarter of the average rate of inflation, limiting their value.

EE bonds are a secure investment backed by the federal government. They're most valuable when you can hold them for at least 5 years. EE bonds are good alternative to CDs for money held for at least a year. For specific bond valuation or more information, go to treasurydirect.gov.

It all depends on the interest rate and how much you bought the bond for. So if you bought one for 25 dollars it'll be worth 50 dollars with interest
