What is the value of a 1957 $2 bill?

My grandpa had it pressed in a book. It looks new.

The bill could be worth a lot of money as no $2 bills were offically released in 1957. It could be that the bill is a fake and therefore not worth very much or the date has been misread. In the event that it really does say 1957 on the bill it might be a good idea to take it to an expert.

This is most likely a "silver certificate" which has a value of about $2.50, the 'series' of the bill is 1957 the date of its creation is most likely unknown. With a little bit more information you could more accurately price the bill.

The value of a 1957 $2 bill is what someone is willing to pay for it. It will usually go for about $15-20, but if you can not find someone to pay that much then it is not worth that much. The only way to find it's true value is to decide what its worth to you and the buyer.
