The usual recovery time for a tear of this type can be anywhere from 3 months to 6 months depending upon the amount of strain put on the affected area.

I am 42years; having meniscus tear issue, not opting for surgical operation. 5 months are over...some improvement is there, can walk few meters but not fully recovered.  add a comment

The average recovery time, depends on the person and how much strength they have. It can last as little as 3-5 days,but at the same time it may also take up to three weeks.

After the surgical repair or removal of meniscus tear, the recovery time is depends upon the age group of patient not upon the depth of surgical repair. The normal recovery time 4-6 weeks.
