The CFM term is (Cubic Feet Per Minute) it is the standard measurement of airflow. A typical system requires 400 CFM per ton of air conditioning. I have a 3000BTU 1.5T air conditioner and my CFM is around 1200. But the CFM also depends on how old your air conditioner is, the older it is, the less CFM output.
