What is the treatment for a bone spur on a finger?

Answer by  briannaemsstuff (6)

Bone spurs can be very painful. Treating a bone spur can be done by using anti-inflammatory medication. The medication will aide in reducing swelling and pain relief. Resting the finger and a warm compress may also prove to be benifcial. These treatments may only provide short term relief.

Probably an incision should be made, just enough so that the bone can be put back in its place. After that, the skin is sewed back and the bandage is put on the finger.

The only treatment I would recommend is that you go see your doctor for surgery. Any other home treatments could make it worse.
