Bladder polyps may be removed depending on the severity or size of the polyps. This is usually done via an endoscopic procedure in which an endoscope is inserted through the urethra to the bladder allowing the doctor to remove the polyps.

Any bladder polyps may be removed to be screened for cancer. After determining a polyp is onn-cancerous the doctor may just watch the polyp for awhile. Sometime sthere will be pain or blood in urine due to polyps.Naturally if cancer is found the polyp is removed right away.

A basic treatment for a ailment such as this is a general and broad spectrum of antibiotics to prevent infection, swelling and general pain. You might also consider using Icy-hot pads, a wonderful item for it's cost, and consider visiting a doctor for a follow up should the pain-levels increase.

Most of the time a bladder polyp is surgically removed to make sure it isn't cancerous. Removal also helps to stop effects such as bloody urine caused by the polyp.
