The time space continuum is a reference to the theory that time itself is a dimension that is interwoven into space. You generally hear this terminology in science fiction space Odyssey stories where it plays a crucial roll. This is because according to Einstien's theory when you travel very fast, speeds you would need for spacetravel you warp time.

While most people consider time and space to be separate, the truth is they are just two sides of the same coin. Time is used to measure how long it takes to move from one place to another or from one state to another. Space is just another word for distance. The time space continuum is the connection between these.

"Time space continuum" is usually shorthand for "all of space and time". It is not a physical "thing", but the range of available positions that an event or object could occupy in three dimensions and in time. If the universe were a baseball game, the continuum would be the ballfield and the 9 innings in which it is played.
