Even the restaurants don't know, they have to buy the seasoning pre-packaged from the company. Col. Sanders said that the herbs and spices are on everyone's kitchen shelf. Pitzer's Secret Recipe Report claims this: garlic salt, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, allspice, sweet basil, oregano, sage, summer savory, ginger & rosemary.

it is often debated whether the people at KFC still use the eleven secret herbs and spices but according to popular belief they do not. It is probably just Salt, Pepper, Flour. That is it. Many people have long elaborate lists such as Marjoram, Mustard, Pepper, Chives, Cloves but this is just people being facetious.

Wouldn't we all like to know. But that is what keeps KFC in business. If we knew the secret formula then no one would eat at KFC anymore. The secret is kept secret even from all of their employees I think that finding this information out would be way to difficult if not impossible.

Nobody knows what the secret formula is for Kentucky Fried Chicken, it's a trade secret. Colonel Saunders, the creator of the recipe passed it along when he sold his business.
