Beagles and basset hounds are both hunters so they are good companion type dogs. They can be sort of melancholy at times but with a lot of love and play time, they can be very friendly animals.

Usually they are awesome family dogs they are pretty easy going and they dont really get into much they ride well in the car and they are outstanding with children. I have a beagel basset and she is stubbon, like a basset, and very sweet like a beagle. She was very easy to potty train.
