What is the order of rank in the military?

The military orders it's ranks Enlisted E1-E9, Warrant Officers W1-W4 and Officers O1-010. Enlisted Army is Privates, Corporals, Sergeants, First Sergeant, Sergeant Majors. Specialists fall in the Corporal/Sergeant area.

There are 3 ways to go with the army. Enlisted, Warrant Officer, and Commissioned Officer, with each level outranking the one before it. There are various ranks in each tier, and you go up in rank with time, experience and the recommendation of those above you.
