100% of the homosexuals in the armed forces are affected by this policy. It is nearly impossible to determine how many homosexual soldiers there are because once they are discovered they are discharged from the military. The policy was introduced in 1993 and since that time more than 10,000 soldiers have received discharges due to their sexuality.
