Legal age is 18 years of age but bars, "colmados" and other points of sale are pretty lax. They'll usually sell beer/ rum to minors without requesting any I. D. If the customer is young they might ask who it's for, even if they answered it was for their own personal use not sure they wouldn't just go ahead and sell.
