There is more than one stadium in Kansas City. The main one, which is home to the Kansas City Chiefs National Football League franchise, is known as Arrowhead Stadium. The city's major league baseball franchise, the Kansas City Royals, plays in a much newer stadium that is known as Kauffman Stadium.

The stadium in Kansas City is called the Kauffman Stadium, named after Ewing M. Kauffman. Ground was broken for the stadium on October 3, 2007, and the first game was played on September 21, 2008.
