There are no actual insects that would grow inside a stone wall as it lacks nutrient requirements for the larvae. However, there are some insects who might utilize it as a place of rest, such as a black stonefly in the Eastern US.

Bugs (or more properly, insects) living in stone walls may be social (such as ants, bees, wasps and in peculiar circumstances, termites) or solitary, such as roly-poly bugs (an artropod related to crabs), True Bugs (Hemiptera) such as over - wintering squash bugs or Alder bugs, even creepy crawlies such as millipedes and centipedes.
