The weather in the Dominican Republic in August is typically very warm, ranging from 76 to 86 F. The humidity is also very high, so it may feel even warmer than it actually is. Tropical storms also often occur in the month of August so one should be very cautious when traveling.

Hurricane season generally spans from June through November, from experience they are mostly from September through November. I personally wouldn't plan for a vacation in August because the humidity is horrible. I would suggest planning your vacation between the months of January through March. It isn't too humid then and you can enjoy the nice weather!

The weather in the Dominican in August is very hot (expect temperatures to be around 85-95). Not much in the way of winds, but some rain. In fact, this month is the beginning of hurricane season, and this region at times gets hit very hard, so be mindful of that.

May to October are the hottest months in the Dominican Republic. The temperature in August can go as high as 90 to 94 degrees Fahrenheit during the day, but it cools off into the 70s overnight. Humidity is higher and there is more rain during these months. August and September are also the peak of hurricane season.
