What is the Kantara Initiative?

It is made up of the Web and developer community that have come together collaboratively to address and discuss the interoperablilty difficulties between enterprise systems and web-based intiatives. It is a nonprofit organization based in New Jersey. It doesn't produce technical standards just 'recommends' strategies. It is membership based and open to all those interested in making the Internet safe.
