A property manager tends to the day-to-day running of a property. This may include collecting rent, renting/leasing units, ensuring that maintenance and repairs are performed, and keeping up with the operational paperwork for the property. Often, a property manager is required to pay for repairs out of pocket and is reimbursed from the owner.

A property manager will show apartments or the property to prospective renters. They may do the back ground checks and credit checks on those who want to rent. They will arrange the cleaning of vacated properties. They may be tasked to collect rent and visit those who are late in paying.

You're assigned a shift usually 8am-5pm, and this is the timeframe where you have to be available for all residents. You may be required to attend to their needs during off hours, but only on emergency basis. You have to fix all problems related to housing. You also have to act as a liason between tenants whenever there are issues.

Usually it's for a rental property. Basically the owner does not live on site to collect rent from the renters or help them if they have any problems. Generally the property manager will collect rent, fix problems or alert the owner if there is anything that they cannot fix or take care of themselves.

A property manager makes sure that all repairs are made on a property. If there are tenants he/she will take care of any problems.
