SuperBalls is invented by chemist Norman Stingley in 1964. He actually didn't know what to do with them, so he took his invention to 'Bettis Rubber Company' who rejected the idea as balls were not very durable. In despair he took it to the toy company Wham-O and they worked on developing a more durable version. Wham-O still manufacture them.

Superballs were invinted in 1964 by a chemist named Norman Stingley. The company Wham-o began producing Superballs. Just one year after their creation over six million Superballs were sold. Sometime in the 1960's a giant Superball crushed a convertible when it was dropped from the top of a building. During the 60's Superballs were given to White House Staff.

Chemist Norman Stingley invented the Superball in 1964 through a unique way of processing rubber. the toy was sold by Wham-o Toys and was the biggest plaything of the summer.
