The very first language ever used to orally communicate was an established group of sounds assigned to indicate certain actions or things. Neanderthals anatomically were able to produce speech sounds but probably did not because of lacking brain function. The first language was probably created 50,000 to 100,000 in Ethiopia when man had become more evolved.

There is no way for us to know, as the spoken word and the written word don't coincide closely by a long shot.
