Arabic is the biggest language in terms of volume, and is concentrated in the North where there are a lot of muslims. English is next, then French and Swahili.

There are over 2000 different languages in Africa today, many of which are about to get extinct. By far the most common language is Arabic, both as a first and second language, especially in North Africa. Swahili is a very common language south of the Sahara.
